Ludo Ghar grants a capture bonus roll in standard play but removes it in its optional competitive mode. The same board event can therefore leave the same piece positions while producing a different next-turn instruction.

Separate the move from the next roll

Use an invented position in which a roll of three ends on an opponent's ordinary square and a valid capture has been recorded. There is no six and no other bonus condition in this example. First record where the two pieces ended. Only after that, determine whether a capture bonus roll follows.

Write two mode-specific records

In the standard-mode record, add a new roll for the capturing player. In the optional-mode record, write that no capture bonus was earned. Do not undo the capture when removing its bonus: the rule difference here concerns the following roll, not whether the captured token was returned.

A capture count is not a roll count

Imagine a teaching log containing three completed captures under the same chosen mode, with no other bonuses involved. In standard mode those events award three bonus-roll opportunities. In the optional mode they award zero. This does not mean the standard log contains exactly three more total rolls, because any later results and their consequences have not been specified.

Set the mode before the exercise

Put the selected mode above the move log before comparing two records. A screenshot of identical piece positions cannot by itself establish whose bonus roll comes next. This exercise explains the two published Ludo Ghar options only; it does not establish the settings of a different online room or recommend either mode for winning.
