Ludo Ghar divides paired movement equally, prohibits voluntary separation and breaks the pair on safe squares. This no-money counting exercise covers even rolls only. It does not describe every Ludo edition or app.
The basic calculation
For an even roll, calculate roll ÷ 2. Each token travels that many spaces, and both tokens remain together. The two movement amounts are not added as separate rolls.

These positions are hypothetical. Label the route P0, P1, P2 and P3. If both tokens start together at P0, a roll of four moves each token from P0 to P2: the first token uses two spaces and the second token also uses two spaces. A roll of six moves each from P0 to P3.
What the roll does not mean
A roll of four does not send each counter four spaces forward. Adding the distances travelled by two counters is not the same as locating their shared destination. Nor is it a choice between moving one token four spaces and charging the other token for a separate move. The rule applies one equal distance to each member of the blockade.
For example, from P0, the correct trace for four is P0 → P1 → P2 for both tokens. It is not P0 → P1 → P2 → P3 → P4 for both, and it is not P0 → P4 for one token while the other stays at P0.
Limits of this explanation
The drawn intermediate and destination spaces are ordinary, and no separate entry or finishing requirement is involved. That assumption matters: the illustration tracks an intact pair, not its arrival on a safe square. It is a movement calculation, not a recommendation for which move to choose.
This explanation covers even rolls only. It does not infer how an odd roll should be rounded, split, or handled, because that treatment is not established here. Positions and roll traces above are illustrative, not a report of an actual game.
